Tell your story.

Write history your way.

This is a safe space to tell your story.

Your story deserves to be told, loud and clear.

As real, raw, fun, deep, funny, scary, inspiring, passionate, different, or regular as it may be.

What stories are we looking for?

We are looking for your story. We just want you to tell it your way.

We accept personal stories of Nigerian women, written in the first person or interview format.

Send your story to us via email: stories@sisterlyhq.com or fill out the form below.

As you tell your story, here are some guiding questions.

We encourage you to explore outside of these questions if you wish.

  • What incident has shaped or continues to shape your experience as a Nigerian woman?

  • What would you like the world to remember when they hear your name?

  • What or who inspires you so deeply?

  • What makes you angry?

  • Why do you do what you do?

Remember, the kind of story that needs to be told is your story. The story may touch on topics such as but not limited to physical and mental health, love, sex, relationships, job, school, career, money, finances, family, body, faith, impact, hobbies, and other personal experiences.

Check out the call for stories for our new series on female friendships in Nigeria here. Sometimes, we will call for stories according to a specific theme. Check out our Period Diaries series which ran for 4 weeks in March 2023.

*We strongly encourage Nigerian women from different backgrounds, including underrepresented groups, to submit their stories.
